Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient care? Darwin Private Hospital is looking to employ Registered Nurses for their Perioperative Unit.

As a Registered Peri-operative Nurse your responsibilities will include:
Adhering to Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards.
Planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating the operative nursing care of the patient.
Working in collaboration with surgeon, anaesthetist and other members of the theatre team to ensure patient safety and the accessibility of identified equipment / consumables predicted to be required to successfully complete the procedure.
Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licenced 150 bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Our Theatre complex comprises of 7 Theatres with our 2 newest state of the art Theatres completed in 2015.
In February 2021, a purpose built 18 bed inpatient Mental Health & AoD Unit, The Darwin Clinic opened, a new service for patients in the Northern Territory. It also incorporates a dedicated Day Rehabilitation Program.
Wages are commensurate with years of experience and the Darwin Private Hospital - Nurses and Midwives - Enterprise Agreement - 2021-2024 (from $71,312 - $96,177 annual salary base rate).
Essential Criteria:
Current Registration with AHPRA
Current NT Working with Children check
Commitment to Quality Patient Care
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Works well independently and within a team
Basic computer skills

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check prior to appointment and persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
