Job Description

Helping Hands Mitchelton is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Coordinator to join our growing service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity where you will work 38 hours (including 4 dedicated non-contact admin hours) across split shifts, Monday to Friday.

  • 6:00-9:00am (Rise then Shine)
  • 2:20-6:00pm (Stay and Play)
  • Block shifts during the school holidays (6:00am - 6:00pm)

About your new role

As a Coordinator, you’ll be leading a team of passionate Educators and overseeing an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership: 

  • You’ll create and lead a dynamic, child-centered program, filled with exciting activities like STEM, sports, cooking, arts and crafts—all designed to inspire and engage.
  • You’ll take full ownership of your team’s roster, manage day-to-day operations, ensure compliance, and handle admin tasks—all while fostering an environment of teamwork and growth.
  • With mentorship from regional managers and support from a dedicated office team, you’ll have everything you need to develop your leadership skills and make a real impact.

Qualifications

Who are we Looking For?

  • A natural leader who enjoys guiding a team and helping others grow.
  • Strong communication skills—you’ll be leading by example!
  • A team player who inspires others and encourages growth.
  • You have (or are willing to obtain) a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Australian work rights.
  • A relevant Diploma-level qualification (or working towards it) as per ACECQA.
