Systems Engineer - Communications/Electrical

Our client URGENTLY requires a Systems Engineer – Communications/Electrical for a 10 months + Contract in Melbourne.

The Systems Engineer – Communications/Electrical will be capable of providing independent technical advice and will be responsible for planning, compliance, documentation, and delivery of high-quality engineering services. All services are to comply with relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements. The use of industry best practices is expected.

Skills and Experience required include:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience and successful delivery of complex Defence Communication System integrations in the C4I or Land/ Maritime domains within short timeframes (circa 18 months) with high levels of design integrity.
• Excellent familiarity with current and emerging military-grade communication technologies including, but not limited to, Switches, Servers, Amplifiers, Filters, Couplers, Antennas, and PLLs.
• Competency using RF test equipment to measure performance (gain, NF, linearity, phase noise, etc.).
• Strong understanding of Defence Minimum Viable Capability (MVC) principles and its application in the design process and Defence capability integration, ODCS, and FIC.

Must have (minimum) NV1 security clearance.
