Our Team

Extend Rehabilitation is a leading hand and upper limb rehabilitation practice in Southeast Queensland. We have a large team of specialised hand therapists and physiotherapists across a variety of sites in Brisbane.  We are committed to excellence in hand and upper limb service provision in a friendly and caring environment. 

 

The Role

We're seeking a warm, polished, and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of a medical receptionist/administrative support officer within our seasoned team. 

Conveniently located near public transportation and offering both paid onsite and street parking, this position will primarily operate from our Spring Hill practice. You'll collaborate closely with our physiotherapists, hand therapists, and administrative team in a dynamic environment, nestled within a private hospital setting and alongside specialized medical practices.

Our trading hours are currently Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm. We are offering a flexible opportunity with the option for either part-time or full-time work. Candidates can choose to work part-time, four days a week, or opt for a full-time schedule, working five days a week. 

 

About You

This position presents an ideal opportunity for an individual seeking a stable, full-time or part-time role with a focus on providing support to our valued clients and our close-knit team. In addition to giving security in employment, this position offers valuable exposure to the intricacies and dynamics of the allied healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients upon their arrival.
  • Handling all incoming and outgoing calls to patients and external health professionals.
  • Coordinating with referrers.
  • Maintaining an efficient booking system for multiple practitioners.
  • Tracking and reporting treatment plans and patient referrals.
  • Scanning, filing, and digitally organizing documents daily.
  • Managing sensitive and confidential information securely.
  • Recording communications with patients accurately.
  • Processing payments, health insurance rebates, and other claims.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Eftpos and Hicaps transactions.
  • Previous experience with practice management or membership systems.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Prior experience in medical or allied health reception.
  • Strong typing and communication skills are essential.
  • Possession or willingness to obtain a blue card.

Remuneration:

Salary is negotiable for the right candidate based on experience.
