VAM Systems is currently looking for Network & Server Administration & Maintenance Engineer for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:



Skills Required

Should have sufficient practical and academic experience to serve as technical support services consultants in the fields of networking, servers, IT Security etc.

Minimum 8 years in IT industry with experience in System Admin Maintenance and Support Services

Minimum 5 new installation and 5 migration projects.

Very strong in relationship building, monitoring, controlling, driving, and influencing behaviour

Very strong in budgeting, planning and staff management & development

Strong listener, sensitive and understanding

Strong in information gathering, analytical, problem management and change management skills

Strong understanding of Networking, Hardware systems lifecycle and strategy development

Good in contract / vendor management, human resources and IT training

Good office productivity tools skills

Good English communication and writing skills.

Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills



Certifications and Experiences

Must be a Graduate / Postgraduate in System Engineering or with relevant technologies.

Must be a holder of professional certifications from MICROSOFT such as MCSE Windows Server and MS Exchange.

Must have experiences in managing Enterprise Microsoft Servers Environment.

Must have experiences in managing, migrating and installation Microsoft Server 2008, 2012 and latest versions, Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2013 and latest environment projects.

Must have experiences in installation, migration and managing Microsoft Server software such as system centre 2012 and SCOM 2012 and latest versions.

Must have experiences in managing backup System (IBM Tivoli) system.

Must have experiences in managing backup System (IBM Tivoli) for virtual environment.

Must have experiences in managing tape library (IBM).

Must have experiences in managing VMware Virtualization environment.

Must have experiences in migrating and installation VMware Virtualization environment projects.

Must have experiences in managing Time Attendance System (Hardware and Software).

Must have experiences in managing SQL Server 2008, 2012 and latest software versions.

Must have experiences in managing Antivirus System.

Must have strong technical ability to trouble shoot and to provide support services.

Must have experiences in managing AWS Environment and related migration projects.

Must have experiences in managing office365 Environment and related migration projects.

Implementing and Deploying Windows clients & Windows based servers

Implementing Disaster protection, name resolution by using DNS / WINS, Name Resolution, DNS to support Active Directory, an Active Directory Infrastructure & Group Policy

Implementing DHCP

Implementing The standard configuration for network setting, email setting and internet browser setting

Implementing Backup (IBM Tivoli)

Implementing Tape Library (IBM)

Implementing VMware Virtualization Environment.

Implementing AWS Environment.

Implementing Office 365 Environment.

Managing Windows Network, Shared Network Resources, DNS, Network Security, Web Services

Managing Active Directory Replication, Operation Masters, maintaining the Active Directory Database and Creating & Managing Tress & Forest (Trust Relationship)

Managing DHCP

Managing Network workflows (integrated with the email) capabilities and development tools

Manage publishing Resources in Active Directory and examining Active Directory Replication

Using Group Policy to Manage the User / Desktop Environment & to manage Software

Manage Backup/ Restore daily / weekly / Monthly / Yearly Basis

Managing Tape Library

Managing Enterprise Right Fax Solution

Managing Microsoft Exchange

Managing VMware Virtualization Environment.

Managing Time Attendance System (Hardware & Software)

Managing AWS Environment.

Managing Office 365 Environment.

Designing Directory services infrastructure and active directory to delegate administrative authority

Designing an active directory naming strategy, active directory domain, active directory site topology and active directory infrastructure

Designing a schema policy, active directory to support group policy and multiple domain structure

Configuring Caching, the firewall, access for Remote Clients and Networks and access to internal resources

Configuring ISA server for an Enterprise

Configuring And Installing terminal services and automating Internet protocol (IP) address assignment

Configuring And Supporting connectivity between operating systems, Web server, internet access for a network, network security and remote access

Configuring Microsoft Exchange

Configuring Backup / Tape Library / Enterprise Right Fax

Hardening of the servers & systems as per the best security practices

Installing and maintaining ISA server & Enabling Security-Enhanced Internet Access

Installing and Maintaining (Deploying, Updating etc) the Microsoft office components, device drivers & Antivirus software's etc.

Update Antivirus definitions

Installing and Maintaining Microsoft Exchange Server

Installing and Maintaining Backup devices and create policies

Installing and Maintaining Backup / Tape Library / EFax

Provide Policies and standards documents for naming conventions that will include the organization's IT standards.

Provide a plan to facilitate the electronic exchange mail

Monitoring and Reporting

Resolve existing problems with servers and client machines (Network protocols, Network addressing, drivers, hardware failures, reconfigure machines, reconnect/re-patch network components etc

Do offsite backup deposit and testing

Creating windows Domain & Setting, Administering Users & Groups and Delegating Administrative Control

Test, Distribute and install new drivers, software patches, service packs and software packages etc.

Setup Operational procedures for disaster recovery backup/restore of shared resources.

Setup Security control standards and procedures for servers, users, database, shared resources etc.

Propose minor upgrades after evaluating current setup and bottle necks (HDD upgrades, Ram upgrades etc)

Propose and plan a messaging system, which is tightly integrated with the Network operating system.

Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.

Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data center environments.

Performing routine audits of systems and software.

Performing backups.

Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.

Installing and configuring new hardware and software.

Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.

Answering technical queries.

Responsibility for security.

Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system.

Troubleshooting any reported problems.

System performance tuning.

Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.

Responsible for : -

setting up servers, configuring and apportioning space for Web-based projects

setting up of working e-mail accounts and mailing lists

management and integration of databases

implementing security on the intranet/extranet

setting up of firewalls and authorization systems

performing periodic backup of data and automating reporting tasks

Executing hardware and software updates when necessary.

For incorporating new and upgrading existing systems.

Periodic checking and analyzing

Implementation of fault tolerant systems

For daily FTP uploads.

To Set up message boards and Mailing Lists

Shift and/or off hours work may be required as needed.

Must be available on call 24/7.

Must be available to travel domestically

Other duties may be assigned.

Should assist in desktop and technical support tasks and duties



Joining time frame: (15 - 30 days)
