Oko is looking for an energetic and positive team member to add to the existing team. We have been slowly getting busier over our 4 year operations and require another pair of hands (and eyes). We pride ourselves in offering a personalized experience for our patients and excellent customer service. Our philosophy hinges on: educating our patients in all things ocular, embracing technology to provide an efficient and enjoyable experience, and offering premium eyewear from quality suppliers. Hours:
Full-time hours (average of 38 hours/week)
Tuesday Saturday scheduling (Sunday and Mondays off) Benefits + Pay Range:
Pay to be discussed ($18-$22 / hour depending on experience)
Health benefits after 3-month probation period
3 weeks of holiday pay Responsibilities + Duties:
Treating all patients with the highest level of authentic care
Scheduling and confirmation of appointments
Answering phones and emails in a timely manner
Obtaining personal patient information (ie. contact information, past medical history, reasoning for appointment)
Perform and operate ophthalmic equipment to prepare patient for optometrist
Submitting and reconciling third party insurance claims on patients behalf
Instrument sterilization and frequent cleaning of common spaces
Being a positive and willing team member Requirements + Qualifications:
Effective communication skills both verbal and written
Efficient and accurate computer skills and data entry
Previous knowledge of optometry industry preferred, but not necessary
GED
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred, but not necessary Application Instructions:
