Restaurant manager

We are currently hiring for the position of restaurant manager in our newly constructed restaurant. The ideal candidates are team players who works well under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment.



Positions available: Assistant General manager



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:


Passionate about Italian food, wine and beverages
Prior experience in a hospitality
Food Safe certification an asset
Ability to lead, train, and motivate junior members of staff
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
A strong work ethic and commitment to customer service
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must have Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, CIS, or a valid work permit
Strong grasp of Italian wines, food, beverages

The Restaurant manager will be responsible for overseeing the execution of efficient restaurant operations, as well as maintaining high production, productivity, quality, and industry leading Guest service standards. Leading by example, this hands-on leadership role provides a high level of event oversight, technical proficiency, and operational/personnel support to ensure the smooth execution of day to day operations and scheduled events.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management roll in a uperscale food and beverage operation

An inspiring leader of premium service who has proven skills rallying a team to achieve its highest potential, and driving it to the next level

Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as OpenTable and Micros

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications

Familiarity with sanitation procedures, as well as standard food and beverage equipment maintenance and Covid protocols

Comfortable interacting with the media and VIP groups

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establishing cooperative working relationships

Excellent professional presentation

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (mobility, standing, walking, lifting for the majority of the day)

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
