Job Description - Event/Wedding Assistant


Imagine Events is a small business under growth and expansion. Looking for a driven and enthusiastic and sales leader with passion for growing the business in their local area. We want someone who wants to work casually on a long term basis, for a fun, fresh company! If you are looking for a unique position to do casually while working a full-time job, or do on the side, this could be the position for you! Will accept subcontract for the right person. The event assistant is responsible for helping the lead planner with event aspects as needed. Job duties can include assisting with, but are not limited to: research vendors, oversee contract agreements, assist in marketing materials and promotions, promotional items, logistics planning and on-site execution/coordination of venue, vendors and volunteers, budget creation and management, setup and teardown of event sites. This position is also responsible for sales and networking in their local area. Event Assistant will grow brand awareness, introduce services to corporate clients, and assist with sales in local area. Casual Permanent Position for long term growth
Hours: Position is casual and is easily worked around a full-time job or schooling. Assistant will need to be somewhat flexible to accommodate hours for each events specific needs. Some out of area travel may be needed on a per-event basis. Mostly evenings and weekends. Remuneration: Negotiable. Hourly wage
Home Office Based  cell phone, computer/internet access, valid drivers license, access to reliable transportation needed.
Non-compete policies in effect. Commence Date for training: Late March 2024

- Plan and arrange for trade shows and exhibits

- Determine requirements for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing and other technical services, and arrange for and manage contracts for these services
- Arrange and manage contracts for entertainment, activities and attractions for special events
- Develop marketing and communication plans

- Set up and monitor, or arrange for the setting up and monitoring of multi-media equipment
- Coordinate media services
- Coordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems and other details for special events
- Coordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details
