The Senior Manager, Operations Transformation is responsible for driving change in Kraft Heinz Canada Operations, leading large transformations for the zone. This individual will own and execute projects such as efficiency, risk mitigation, M&A and capacity. This person will also take the lead and execute current transformation projects that exist today (in addition to changing over time and net new) are:
Our network study (an analysis, evaluation and series of business cases) for changing our network including manufacturing location, capabilities, etc as well as our DC network. Re-examining our processes in customer excellence and transportation end to end, implementing new technologies if required, and driving higher payloads Evaluating our innovation process and supporting BD in redesigning it to drive efficiencies in WC, SCL and forecast accuracy.
This role requires the individual to work cross functionally across Marketing, Commercial, Ops, R&D, growth etc within Canada, as well as with Global Center of Excellence leadership for Ops in Chicago / Amsterdam.
- Driving continuous improvement
- Creating visibility to global projects which can be brought to the Canada Zone
- Savings sourcing -> KPI management
- Cross-function bridge between IT, Finance, Operations
- Project Management Office and key subject matter expert for the largest transformation projects within Canada Ops, including but not limited to North America Network Study, footprint studies, etc.
- Influence and lead processes to measure and drive logistics & manufacturing optimization (service and cost), supporting Operations Committee and Champions programs as required
- Support the Head of Strategic Planning and Performance in running KPI and strategic sessions w/ Operations Executive Leadership
- Generates hypotheses for continuous improvement projects, and creates models / supporting analysis to validate theories
- Pushes the envelop of operations data availability and analytical tools, working with data engineering and the BI Manager for Operations
- Understand SAP, TMS, WMS, Tableau and other business systems and configuration to ensure correct assumptions and planning in transitions, and to help solve problems as they arise
MBA preferred or quantitative master preferred
8-10 years of supply chain experience, ideally in a number of different types of role. Previous experience leading a key operations function. Previous consulting experience valued.
Excellent strategic and lateral thinker and a skilled problem-solver with experience and knowledge to evaluate complex operating models and create innovative solutions.
Well practiced in cross-functional influence in matrix organizations.
A track record of extensive project and program management encompassing financial, operational and budget responsibilities.
A champion of best practices and recognized transformational leader, committed to keeping on top of merging trends.
Thrives in ambiguity and the unknown.
Proven leader with a strong ability to lead of change and engage, develop and motivate individuals and teams.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to organize and convey information concisely and precisely in a compelling way.
