Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. Maintenance Technicians troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness and reliability.
This position would report to the Maintenance Supervisor at our Taber location.Qualifications/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Performing preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Repairing all production equipment as needed
- Performing breakdown analysis
- Upgrading production lines with new equipment/technology
- Working with outside contractors
- Complying with GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES, safety, and audit standards
- Working independently under limited supervision (self-management)
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- May perform other related duties as assigned
- Completing Safety, Quality/Food Safety training and adhering to the Safety and Food Safety policies that is required for your area
QualificationsJob Type: Regular
- Certified Journeyman Electrician or Millwright
- Certified HVAC would be an asset
- Steam engineer 5 th class would be an asset
- Industrial plumber or experience would be an asset
- Minimum of one year of preventative maintenance experience
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to prioritize multiple important priorities
- Able to lift <50 lbs, walk stairways, bend and twist, and stand up to 12 hours per day
- Experience with VFD, PLC, controls, and instrumentals is considered an asset
- Strong mechanical skills
- Ability to solve complex problems
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
