McCain Foods (Canada), a Division of McCain Foods Limited, has full time permanent openings within the Production Department at their Manitoba potato processing plant, located in Carberry, Manitoba.



The successful candidates should be interested in working within a production or cold storage warehouse environment, be a minimum of 18 years of age and be willing to complete an industrial workplace reading, writing, and math assessment. Work schedules consist of 12 hours of work per shift and rotate between day and night shifts.



Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensure timely, accurate records are maintained

Follow good manufacturing practices

Apply all aspects of lean manufacturing: including 5S, standard work, S.O.P, B.O.P, JHA’s

Measure and report equipment settings

Cleaning and inspection line checklists

Operate equipment in a manner to produce high quality product at the specified flow rate and report any equipment problems to supervision

Clean-up/shut down duties: including deep cleaning on specific lines, sweeping, air hosing, chemical use, high pressure hosing

Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Push/pull such as rolls of poly, high pr65tessure hoses, garbage containers, vacuum, pallets and cases

Lifting weight approximately 25 – 44 lbs., up to heights of 6 ft.

Stair/ladder climbing as required

Bending, crouching

Standing for extended periods
Continuous walking
