Horizon Health Network is looking for Corporate Security Officers to join our team in Saint John! There are FULL TIME, PART TIME, and CASUAL positions available.

Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is actively recruiting Corporate Security Officers to join the team at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

As a Corporate Security Officer you would be responsible for ensuring public safety within the healthcare environment. You will protect patients, public, and staff from acts of violence with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and response. As an extension of the healthcare team, you will provide a safe and secure environment in support of the delivery of safe, quality care.

Specific duties include:

• Maintaining a safe and secure working environment


• Vigilant monitoring and patrol of assigned areas of responsibility


• Establishing rapport with clients and staff


• Acting as an internal first responder to acts of workplace violence


• Providing operational leadership related to the mitigation of security risks and threats to public safety


• Assuming a lead role with respect to response and required physical intervention


• Liaising with local law enforcement


• Ensuring the healthcare environment is free from weapons or other prohibited items


• Collecting, tracking, and reporting data pertaining to acts of violence

Who you are:

You possess a post-secondary diploma in law enforcement, corrections, criminal justice, or a related field, or you have a minimum of five years of military experience. You have written and spoken competence in English.
