What you’ll be doing

Personal and Business Banking provides personal and business clients across Canada with financial advice, products, and services through a strong team of advisors and relationship managers. Lines of business include: Banking Centres, Business Banking, Specialized Advice, Personal Banking Products and Strategy and Transformation. Personal and Business Banking priorities are aligned to CIBC’s core purpose: to help make our clients’ ambitions a reality. To achieve this, the business will focus on three priorities: make it easy to bank with, win at relationships, and deliver leading financial products and services. The expected outcome is to improve client experience, deliver consistent earnings growth, achieve positive operating leverage, and retain a winning team that is inspired to meet the evolving personal and business needs of Canadians. In order to drive our business strategy, our employees and leaders will lead with authenticity & courage, empower ownership, inspire hearts and minds, connect people and networks and enable the future. 

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

Content development and execution – You will write, edit and curate multi-format content including articles, videos, podcasts and client emails. You will also have the opportunity to translate complex financial topics into clear, engaging content that supports advice conversations and build client relationships. Ensure all content adheres to high standards of quality and is consistent with brand voice, accessibility and compliance regulations.   

Editorial planning and production management – You will assist in building briefs, managing the editorial calendar, coordinate project timeless and ensure seamless execution from concept to distribution. Manage content development workflows, including reviews and approvals from Legal, Compliance, Brand and subject matter experts. 

Vendor and partnership management - Partner with internal teams including Marketing, Client Strategy, Communications, Legal and Digital to align content with business priorities. You will also collaborate with external vendors  and agencies to ensure timely, high quality content production.  

Content distribution and maintenance: Support the distribution of content across digital platforms to maximize reach and engagement. You will also maintain content libraries, support updates and audits and ensure ongoing accuracy and relevance of published material.  

Who you are

  • An undergraduate, MBA, or Masters student with a major in Marketing, Communications or Journalism
  • A strong writer and editor with the ability to distill technical or complex financial concepts into clear, engaging and client-friendly content.  
  • Bring strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines in a fast paced, hybrid work environment. 
  • Collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders across internal teams and external vendors. 
  • Detail-oriented and understand the importance of brand, compliance, accessibility and tone in content execution. 
  • Comfortable working with content workflows and digital platforms. 
  • Bring curiosity, ownership, and client-first mindset to your work and take pride in delivering high-quality content that makes an impact.
