Digital Design Expert for MEP / Building Technologies (all genders)

About the role  

As a Digital Design Expert for Building Technology at GROPYUS you will be working on the standardization and automation of processes around our Building Product, to support the scalable delivery of projects. The position is located inside the team for Building Technology and Energy, which plays a central part in GROPYUS’ mission to more sustainable buildings. You will be working in an interdisciplinary team of experts in building design, digitalization, production, and construction site management. GROPYUS offers unique opportunities through a data-first approach led by the Product Management and Technology team.

What you’ll be doing 

• Contribute to the development of solutions for the GROPYUS end-to-end Digital Value Chain, from prototypes to scalable implementations, in close collaboration with the Product and Technology Teams 


• Help to establish standardized process descriptions for project development in Energy Design and Building Technology, and identify potentials for the next steps of automation 


• Translate process descriptions to parametric logic and develop prototype workflows 


• Coordinate work across Building System Teams and beyond, into Tech and Execution  


• Work closely with the extended Building System Team with design disciplines like Architecture, Structure, Building Physics, or Drafting 

About you 

• Electrical / mechanical education and/or professional track record.


• Expert level in parametric design with Rhino and Grasshopper 


• Expert level in Revit, experience in Rhino.Inside 


• Knowledge/interest in building technology, energy simulations, MEP design, building physics 


• Knowledge of Hottgenroth, Linear for Revit, Caneco for Revit, Climate Studio, Design Builder a plus 


• Knowledge of API scripting a plus 


• Knowledge of Dynamo a plus 


• Very good English or German
