- Having a good experience on waste to energy and operation on dry flue gas treatment.
We are seeking an experienced shift operator in waste-to-energy and dry flue gas treatment operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing materials and organizing resources (tools, equipment, and manpower) to ensure the opening, inspection, cleaning, and closing of vessels and exchangers on FPSO, according to the validated work program.
- Apply the instructions from the Client operating manuals.
- Follow specific operating instructions mentioned in the logbook, written and validated by the Client commissioning manager.
- Operate the flue gas treatment systems without modifying parameters. Any changes must be approved by the Client commissioning manager.
- Inform the commissioning manager or other Client personnel by phone in case of operational problems and report in the logbook the time, name of the contacted person, and instructions received.
- Monitor the operation of the flue gas treatment from the control room (survey of main parameters, trending, analysis of event and alarm lists) and on-site.
- React promptly to events and alarms by analyzing the causes and restarting equipment after checks when possible. Be able to reset/start and stop sequences.
- Conduct regular site surveys during normal operations and in case of issues (alarms reported in the alarm list). Local operations may be required, such as local resets, site investigations, hammering on bag filter anvils, etc., as instructed in the operating manuals.
- Participate in basic commissioning activities during the day in cooperation with the Client commissioning team (basic tests, start/stop from the control room, local surveys during reagent loading or residue unloading, etc.).
- React promptly in case of blackout or boiler trip (quench pumps in operation, ID fan restart, etc.) according to safety procedures.
During the commissioning period, the Client requires the following from shift operators :
- Specific surveys may be conducted by the shift operator, such as monitoring the behavior of a PID controller or performing dedicated tests as per LAB's instructions.
- Active engagement is necessary. Shifts during commissioning are not the same as standard shifts during commercial operation. More events and issues may arise during commissioning, requiring greater anticipation and monitoring than usual. Quick reactions are also needed in case of any issues.
- Fill a logbook (paper) to report all main events (problems, equipment breakdowns, reading values during operation, etc.).
- Report watch tours using paper forms. Originals of the watch tour forms must be stored in a specific Client folder in the control room. The time of the watch tour must be written in the logbook.
- Some reporting (trend, comments) may be done on specific tests and reported to the commissioning manager.
