Accounting Intern

The position:

We are seeking a skilled and driven Intern to join the finance team at Vay. This is a perfect opportunity to kick-start your career and learn from scratch. As part of our team, you will support all processes related to month-end-closing and accounting with the team and our external tax advisors. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, across business and engineering, to ensure smooth processes, payments and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Accounting




• Accounts payable and supplier payment run support


• Accounts receivable preparation


• Monthly closing support


• Annual closing and audit assistance




• Reimbursement Management




• Checking daily allowances and other out-of-pocket expenses


• Exchange with internal stakeholders to ensure internal controls are met




• Reporting




• Support in updating internal management reports

The profile:

• Currently undergoing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field or a successfully completed training program in business administration


• Good Excel skills


• Experience in Datev, Pleo, Candis or other digital finance tools is a plus


• Prior internship experience in Finance / Accounting is a plus


• Motivated, high-energetic and hands-on mentality


• Team player


• Strong analytical  skills and attention to detail


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams


• Fluent in German and English
