Student Assistant Marketing

4C is a sustainability certification scheme for the coffee and cocoa industry. 4C certification focuses on good agricultural and management practices, including requirements on economic, social and environmental conditions for coffee and cocoa production and processing in order to establish credible sustainable and transparent supply chains. Independent certification bodies verify compliance with the 4C requirements. 4C operates in 20 countries and is the largest certification system in the coffee sector. It is also a highly innovative standard working on a variety of crucial topics such as reduction and offsetting of carbon footprint, biodiversity improvement and empowering women. This is why the Marketing and Partnership Management team, specifically the Marketing & Communications team of experts are looking forward to welcoming you as Student Assistant – Marketing at 4C headquarters in Cologne.

• You will assist the marketing team in creating engaging visual content using Canva for social media, newsletters, and other platforms. 

• You will support the maintenance and updates of our WordPress website, ensuring an optimized user experience (UI/UX). 
• You will manage SEO demands by conducting keyword research, optimizing content, and monitoring website performance to improve search rankings. 
• You will help design and prepare presentations in PowerPoint, following branding guidelines and ensuring high-quality visuals. 
• You will assist in drafting marketing materials and content strategies for campaigns. 
• You will collaborate with the marketing team to analyze design trends and contribute to branding discussions. 
• You will participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas for new campaigns and marketing initiatives. 

• Enrolled student in Design, Communication Studies, Marketing, Media Design, or another related field. 

• Available for 20 hours per week, with the ability to work onsite at least twice a week. 
• Experience with SEO, including keyword research, content optimization, and performance analysis. 
• Proficient in Canva and experience with WordPress for web design and content management. 
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles. 
• Excellent PowerPoint skills with a focus on presentation design. 
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (at least B2 level). Additional language skills, especially Portuguese, are a plus.  
• General IT proficiency, especially in MS Office. 
• Creative thinker with attention to detail and the ability to work independently. 
• Enthusiastic team player with a proactive attitude, willing to contribute to marketing strategies and creative projects.
