Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we're looking to hire an experienced EHS Supervisor to join our EHS Department. The role is responsible for a specific area of the plant by developing safety policies to minimize risks, outlining safety procedures and ensuring regulatory compliance with federal occupational health and safety laws and regulations. The position is based in Xanthi, Greece.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes:
- Provides EHS expertise and leadership to a specific area of the plant
- Takes immediate actions to ensure that work is performed in a safe manner
- Performs safety risk assessments for emerging issues and develop mitigation plans
- Participate in planned HSE function team meetings reporting all significant information
- Reports any safety violations and hazardous conditions in his/her specific area to Line Manager and records them in the reporting application
- Active participation / lead Safety incidents investigations, provide Root Cause Analysis, formulating corrective action plans and sharing lessons learned that can be leveraged across the organization to prevent recurrence
- Conducts internal Health & Safety inspections as per the approved HSE inspection plan, include monitoring submission of corrective action plan and closeout of findings
- Coordinates HS, with other BU/departments/functions, recommending and implementing methods to increase health, safety compliance and reduce/eliminate identified risk
- Responsible for monitoring and analyzing trends to pinpoint potential enhancements, to ensure achievement of Company’s HSE performance targets
- Helping to create an engaging environment around EHS and to establish a safety-oriented culture with strong involvement of each employee. Coach on safety fundamentals, risk management, safe behaviors and safety culture
- Perform all administrative duties as required by HSE function
- 2+ years of working experience as in the same role in industrial/ manufacturing environment
- Degree in Engineering or Environmental Mechanics and Management
- Excellent MS Office knowledge
- Fluency in English & Greek
- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong multi-tasking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
