Reporting to: HR Director APAC
Main Responsibilities:
Research local employment conditions and understand the local job market for New Openings, focusing on the best ways to attract and retain talent, local benefits, and salaries ensuring our offeringis competitive and appealing.
Successful delivery of multiple projects which will be on going at any one time working across different time zones, with frequent communication with the UK.
Drive the Merlin culture and engagement throughout the attraction, working in partnership with the HRD and the attraction General Manager.
Ensure all Group HR initiatives are rolled out to each attraction such as STAR, Spark an Idea, PDP process, annualpay review, share plans and bonus programs.
Working in collaboration with Regional and Global HR colleagues ensuring that all HR policies, procedures and practicesmeet legal compliance with all relevant laws and requirements.
Drive employee engagement through internal tools including the annual employee engagement survey; Wizard Wants to Know. Work with local leaders to implement employee engagement action plans constantly seeking to improve the employee experience.
Support any ad hoc projects within New Openings.
Skills,Experience & Qualifications:
Strong recruitment and interviewing skills with the ability to identify talent.
Minimum of 5 years of HR experience,with a particular focus on recruitment and engagement. Firm and in-house HR experience is preferred.
Possess strong communication skills(both verbal and written) in both Chinese and English.
Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi task as necessary to meet deadlines as required.
In-depth knowledge across HR including staffing and employment, employee relations, legal and regulatory compliance,conflict management, compensation, benefits, HR database and personnel records and training.
Ability to manage your own time,managing your objectives ensuring they are aligned to the big picture direction for the business.
Computer proficiency with ability to use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel andPowerPoint).
Self-motivator who is diligent, a quick learner and has proactive approach to problem solving.
Frequent travel across China including nights away from home.
