Position Summary

We are looking passionate, team-oriented  Manager to lead a team in BIG-IP engineering. You will manage a team that is focused on supporting BIG-IP products. You will be working very closely with architects, leads, cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to deliver what customers want. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for feature development & delivery for your team; work with other leads / managers to help F5 achieve its product development objectives.

  • Mentor and guide engineers in the team both with technology and development

  • Foster team growth, manage the team’s project deliverables, and provide technical and logistical direction and support to development team.

  • Efficiently communicate/collaborate with offsite teams, and promote F5 PD culture.

  • Facilitate progress of direct reports. Ensure the development process works for the people to make products we can be proud of.

  • Foster professional growth of direct reports by encouraging ongoing education, mentoring, and managing.

  • Evaluate performance of direct-reports and assist them in creating career development plans.

  • Maintain and promote high morale. 

  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Technical knowledge to effectively lead team through design and development 

  • Previous experience in C/C++, Networking, Linux Networking Stack  

  • Experience in Data plane, TCP, UDP offloads,

  • Experience in supporting customer cases

  • Ability to effectively communicate/collaborate with local and remote development teams.

  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to work well with a wide variety of personalities. Excellent organizational agility and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours for better collaboration with International teams.

  • Previous experience of working in Agile Environment

Qualification:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree

  • 10+ years software development experience

  • Management experience is preferable
