Root cause analysis (RCA) with post-mortems and preventive measures. \nServe as a highly specialized Technology expert, acting with high autonomy to deliver agreed technical objectives. \nCollaborate through participation in peer reviews and work with Development teams to achieve goals.\n\n## All you need is...\n\nBachelor\u0027s degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent and 5+ years\u0027 experience as a Database Administrator. \nExperience 5-10 years DBA experience (5+ years Postgresql, Mysql; 3+ years AWS RDS). \nStrong expertise in MySQL, and Postresql database administration \nDatabase Management: Administer and maintain on-premises (Postgresq, Mysql) and cloud databases (AWS RDS, custom RDS configurations). Ensure 12/7 oncall support. \nHands-on experience with HA/DR, backup, security, and performance tuning \nExperience with cloud-managed databases (AWS Cloud) \nAutomation: Develop PowerShell/Python/PL/SQL scripts for routine tasks (monitoring, health checks, alerting, log cleanup). Implement Infrastructure-as-Code for DB provisioning. \nUpgrades \u0026 Patching: Plan/execute database patching, technology refreshes (e.g., Postgresq, Mysql), version upgrades with minimal business impact. \nPerformance Tuning: Proactively optimize queries, indexes, memory/CPU configs. Use AWR/Statspack, Execution Plans, wait analysis for bottleneck resolution. \nSecurity \u0026 Compliance: Implement/obay database security (TDE, roles, auditing, VPD). \nIncident Management: L2/L3 escalation support for critical DB incidents.
