It involves advising management on project-level issues, guiding junior engineers, operating with little supervision, and applying knowledge of technical best practices.\n\nJob Description:\n\nEssential Responsibilities: \n\n * Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles.\n * Advises immediate management on project-level issues\n * Guides junior engineers\n * Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices\n * Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor\u2019s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\n\n\nAdditional Responsibilities \u0026 Preferred Qualifications:\n\n * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle ambiguous requirements and drive solutions end-to-end\n\n * Deep expertise in frontend development using React, Next.js and TypeScript, including hooks, state management, and performance optimization\n\n * Proven experience designing and building scalable, maintainable frontend architectures\n\n * Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, asynchronous programming, and browser internals\n\n * Hands-on experience with full-stack development, including Node.js, with the ability to seamlessly switch between frontend and backend based on team needs.\n\n * Experience designing and consuming RESTful/GraphQL APIs, with a good understanding of API contracts and integration patterns\n\n * Hands-on experience with testing frameworks (playwright etc.) and a strong focus on code quality\n\n * Exposure to Go or Java is an added advantage\n\n * Familiarity with system design concepts, including building reliable, scalable, and performant applications\n\n * Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and modern CI/CD pipelines\n\n * Strong debugging skills across frontend and backend layers\n\n * Good understanding of security best practices\n\n * Experience working in agile teams, with strong collaboration and code review practices\n\n * Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving team engineering standards and practices\n\n\n\n\nSubsidiary:\n\nPayPal\n\nTravel Percent:\n\n0\n\nPayPal does not charge candidates any fees for courses, applications, resume reviews, interviews, background checks, or onboarding.
