Job Description
Provide strategic Marketing and Communications direction for MHG and all related brands.
Management of the Marketing Communications corporate function
- Oversee the marketing communications activities which support the business activities.
- Management of the head office marketing communications and graphics teams
- Responsible for the corporate design and production of marketing collaterals to meet business needs.
Brand Identity
- Develop and deliver the ongoing refinement of the brand identity guidelines.
- Provide strategic direction to the marketing communications and operations team on the development and implementations of new templates, guidelines, tools and brand concepts / differentiators.
- Lead brand work to further enhance relevant brand DNA’s and visual identities.
- Regularly conduct brand training for corporate and hotel teams (on-boarding and on-demand)
Brand Marketing
- Development of brand messaging via advertising, collateral, tradeshows etc for hotel and regional sales teams, the development, human resources and other corporate teams, and in-hotel brand messaging (in room videos, brand brochure etc). This includes offline and online media strategy and planning.
- Develop and implement brand campaigns to support business objectives.
Annual Marketing Promotional Plan
- Strategic development of an integrated marketing promotional plan (per brand, and MHG) to drive awareness of MHG and its brands, and deliver hotel revenues.
- Work closely with other Commercial Operations areas to execute this plan across various channels
Tactical Marketing
- Implement relevant branded consumer offers, targeted at past or potential guests, in order to drive revenues to the hotels.
- Leverage partner and online opportunities to promote tactical messages.
Online Marketing (CRM and Online Content)
- Provide strategic direction on all elements of the CRM platform, including the core marketing messages, stay related communications, template design and execution of the promotional calendar.
- Identify future required developments for the CRM platform, and work with supplier to facilitate.
- Oversee online content development and direction for all brand websites, taking into account relevant brand and promotional messages.
- Provide guidance to area and hotel teams on content and visual direction for property sites.
- Oversee the management of the eGift Certificate platform, ensuring activities are developed to drive revenues, and conduct relevant training for corporate and property teams.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of website review processes for hotel sites.
Relationship Management
- Identify and manage relationships with relevant external agencies, as well as internal departments.
- Supervision of any work completed by third party agencies to ensure creative executive fits within brand guidelines and messaging.
Project Management
- Lead relevant brand and marketing projects, taking full ownership of strategic direction and project elements.
Hotel Marketing
- Input into pre-opening hotel plans and budgets.
- Oversee corporate and brand collateral materials developed by team members.
- Provide guidance to hotels on marketing collaterals and execution of hotel promotions etc.
- Provide support, guidance and input on property photo and video shoots to ensure they are in accordance with brand guidelines, and assist with the brand approval of final assest.
General
- Maintain workflow within department.
- Provide regular campaign analysis and reporting for all key marketing communication activities.
- Be aware of changing trends within the industry and provide recommendations to react and / or counteract these changes.
- Ensure all core brand documents, guidelines, templates and images are centrally available for inter-departmental and hotel use.
Qualifications
- Experience identifying, directing and managing relationships with creative and external agencies.
- Ability to set the strategic direction for brand and marketing communications activities across multiple brands, with clear tactics and measurements to achieve business objectives.
- Experience in planning and managing departmental budgets.
- In-depth ability of analytical skills, strategic thinking, strong communication and presentation skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and command of the English language (verbal and written).
- Advanced computer literacy and detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience in using CMS and CRM systems; Knowledge of design principles.
- Be self-motivated leader, able to work and adapt under pressure with minimal direct supervision.
- Be able to travel as required.
