Our client a retail company based in the Carlow area are currently seeking to recruit an accounts assistant for a full-time permanent job. This is a great entry level role which will suit a candidate who is hoping to use their education and/skills within a busy finance team. Reporting directly to the company accountant you will have the following responsibilities.
- Checking supplier invoices against goods received documentation.
- Raising purchase orders
- Posting invoices onto the system
- Liaising with purchasing departments in relation to goods on order
- Dealing with suppliers in relation to discrepancies on invoice received
- Assisting the accountant with accounts administration
- Cashing up and preparing lodgements
- Ad hoc clerical duties as they arise.
Skills & Attributes
- 1 to 2 years accounts payable and/or general accounting experience
- Proficient in MS Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Great attention to detail
- Good Organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under time and delivery pressures.
This role is based full time on site in Carlow Monday to Friday.
