Job Description - Operations Lead (HR & Finance)

Axios are seeking an experienced Operations Lead to manage and optimise the day-to-day operations of our Finance and HR functions. Based in Dublin with quarterly travel to the UAE, this is a hands-on operational management role, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). 



The role involves direct line management of the Finance and HR teams, operational oversight, and clear, actionable reporting to senior management. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience managing remote teams and deliverables, ensuring performance and operational targets are consistently met.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage and develop the Finance and HR teams, providing clear operational direction, setting goals, and monitoring performance.

  • Oversee daily operations across Finance and HR, including:

    • Budget preparation and management

    • Financial reporting and controls focusing on KPI’s

    • Compensation and Benefits

    • Compliance with local laws and regulations




 



  • Ensure team deliverables are achieved on time and to standard, with a proven ability to manage remote and hybrid team operations effectively.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

  • Prepare and present operational reports to the COO and senior management, offering practical insights and recommendations.

  • Manage compliance activities across Finance and HR, ensuring alignment with internal policies and country obligations.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operational support for business initiatives.


 


Experience and Qualifications



  • Minimum 5 years’ operational and line management experience, ideally within Finance, HR, or business operations functions.

  • Proven experience managing remote and hybrid teams, with a focus on deliverables, productivity, and operational performance.

  • Strong track record in operational process delivery, people management, and reporting.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and manage deadlines effectively.

  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with quarterly international travel.

  • MBA or equivalent business qualification preferred, but not essential.
