Vacancies – Production Operators 4 cycle shift


Mergon Group is a leading supplier of innovative plastic products to world class customers in the automotive, healthcare and industrial sectors. The Group has manufacturing operations in Ireland, the US, Czech Republic, UK and Mexico.


 


Mergon International currently have opportunities for Production Operators to join our team at the Castlepollard plant in Co. Westmeath. This is a temporary full-time role operating on a 4-cycle shift pattern, with the requirement to work both day and night shifts, as well as every second weekend.


 


As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines. You will be responsible for a range of activities, including packing, labelling, equipment monitoring, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with opportunities for career progression.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure smooth and efficient processes.

  • Perform regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet company and industry standards.

  • Pack and label materials/products accurately and efficiently for dispatch.

  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify and report potential issues.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure safe working practices are followed at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment.

  • Participate in training and development initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor


 


Requirements:


Candidates must have previous manufacturing experience. Previous injection moulding /blow moulding experience would be an advantage.


 


A good level of English communication and understanding is important.


 


Individuals must be able to work on their own as initiative as well as part of a team.


 


Exposure to continuous improvement projects including Six Sigma training while not essential is an advantage.


 


Full training will be provided.
