As we move beyond 230 million members and hundreds of partnerships worldwide, we are looking for a talented individual to drive better commercial and creative outcomes for our local and global partnerships in Italy and Greece. 

These partners range from distributors partners such as local PayTV and Telecommunications operators like Sky, Telecom Italia, WindTre or United Group to global brands such as Samsung or Google to leading consumer brands across diverse industries/categories.

When we partner with these brands, we approach business and marketing opportunities together to attract new audiences and create bespoke campaigns.  This Director position is key in helping our partners to maximize the opportunity of working with us. 

Our partners are an extension of Netflix’s own marketing efforts and therefore an imperative channel for us to take the Netflix experience to new audiences and we’re always looking for cutting-edge, creative ways to work with partners to market our service and our titles.

The Director Marketing Partnerships Italy & Greece will be based in Rome, run a team of 2 individuals, and be part of the Italy&Greece Marketing team. We are looking for a talented marketing professional able to own the full life cycle of partner marketing projects from idea to execution to post-analysis with a passion for technology and content.

The Role

As a key point of contact for marketing questions regarding partnerships, the successful candidate will provide a critical link between business development, content, and the broader marcomms team (including title marketing, social, and PR) to achieve business goals in Italy and Greece. To do so the successful candidate will frequently travel in the region (Italy/Greece) and work closely with several stakeholders internally in the country, in EMEA, and globally and externally.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Own the marketing relationship with our key distribution partners across Italy & Greece (i.e.: Sky, Telecom Italia, Vodafone, WindTre, Samsung, etc), negotiating marketing commitments with their C-Level and creating new opportunities to build meaningful and effective marketing campaigns with them.
• Nurture existing partnerships and launch new ones to generate incremental subscriptions for Netflix developing and executing programs aimed to connect sales and marketing, taking ownership of day-to-day marketing relationships with our partners.
• Build and develop yearly marketing plans with our top partners across the region to bring the commercial opportunity to life.
• Manage a team of 2 individuals.
• Work closely cross-functionally - especially with the Italian marketing, communication, and content teams as well as Partnerships functional hub in Amsterdam.
• Collaborate with the marketing partnerships creative team in London to create campaigns speaking to consumers in unique and unexpected ways and elevate the Netflix brand and titles.
• Define corrective actions to improve effectiveness and result by tracking performance with our analytical teams.

Qualifications - The successful candidate:

• A leader who understands the value of diverse experiences and backgrounds, able to lead by example in alignment with our culture and principles of “Responsibility and Freedom” and “Context, not Control”, giving individual collaborators the space and support to thrive at Netflix.
• 10+ years experience in senior consumer marketing roles in the entertainment/content/telco industry (i.e. digital distributor, pay-tv, telecommunication, movie studio, video games, music industry, etc).
• Existing network within PayTV/Telecommunication is a plus.
• Proven record of strong influencing skills and ability to analyze and apply data to develop marketing programs aimed to drive our business and elevate our brand, strong cross-team collaboration skills, and ability to promote innovation through a creative collaboration process.
• An entrepreneurial and consumer-oriented mindset with great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have excellent market knowledge and expertise in Italy's media landscape, Greece is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously without the support of a large team, working both independently and in close collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge and interest in both business and creative challenges and ability to effectively provide input on creative development from a local market perspective. Expert in Retail/Trade and Digital Marketing. Experienced in budget ownership.
• Have fluency in English and Italian is required.
