We are seeking for a candidate to be integrated in the System Engineering team. This team has the purpose to analyze the input needs (external or internal) and requirements, and design the solution by re-using existing solutions (contracts context) or by developing a new solution or adapting an existing one (program context). To formalize and maintain the system specifications (operational, functional, and constructional), application rules, and supporting processes descriptions and their associated verification, validation and assessments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing solution standardization, designing system and sub-systems architectures, understanding electrical schemes, designing electrical interfaces, supporting the design and industrialization of standard cubicles including several devices (Servers, Switches, Power Supply, Cabinets, etc.), supporting network architecture and power supply design, supporting homologation of new solution, and writing and maintaining products catalogues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design sub-systems architectures based on customer requirements and system specifications
• Understand electrical schemes and translate them into system requirements and design specifications
• Design electrical interfaces to ensure compatibility with other systems and components
• Support the design and industrialization of standard cubicles, including several devices such as servers, switches, power supply, cabinets, etc.
• Support network architecture design, ensuring compatibility with other systems and components
• Support power supply architecture design, ensuring compatibility with other systems and components
• Support solution standardization to ensure consistency across multiple projects and products
• Write and maintain product catalogues, including technical specifications and system requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong understanding of electrical schemes and system architectures
• Experience in designing electrical interfaces and cubicles
• Experience in supporting network architecture design
• Experience in supporting power supply design
• Ability to write and maintain product catalogues
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English.

Experience in system engineering, design and development, and knowledge of the railway industry and its specific needs are considered as a plus, but not essential

Location: Rome, Bologna or Bari site
