Junior Back-end Developer

We are looking for a Junior Back-end Developer to join our engineering team.

You will work together with the team responsible for building the ‘server-side’ of our websites and web applications.

You should be able to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.

Main responsibilities:

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our websites
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

• Problem-solving
• Expertise with PHP, Laravel and MySQL
• Basic expertise in HTML, CSS and Javascript
• Basic expertise in Wordpress and basic concepts on theme development
• Basic experience with Docker is a plus
• Basic experience with serverless architectures is a plus
• Understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Good problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Fluent in Italian and English
• German is a plus
