Responsibilities:
Customer Service Management:
• Uphold high standards of customer service to guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
• Train and guide staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Coffee Drink Preparation:
• Craft coffee drinks adhering to Asylum Coffeehouse’s specific recipes.
Sales Initiatives:
• Drive sales growth through creative strategies such as coffee subscriptions and wholesale agreements.
• Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement.
• Implement promotional activities to increase sales of coffee beans.
Scheduling, Hiring, and Staff Motivation:
• Organize staff schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels at all times.
• Lead the recruitment and hiring process for new team members.
• Foster a motivational work environment, encouraging staff development and retention.
• Oversee the well-being of the team, ensuring a positive and supportive work atmosphere.
• Motivate staff to achieve their best performance through regular feedback and development opportunities.
Community Building:
• Engage with the local community to build a loyal customer base.
• Organize and participate in community events to promote Asylum Coffee.
• Collaborate with local businesses and organizations for mutual benefit.
Day-to-Day Operations Management:
• Oversee the cafe’s daily operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Ensure all cafe activities are in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and standards for quality and processes.
• Other ad-hoc operational duties as required.
Coffee Roasting Knowledge:
• Have a solid understanding of coffee roasting processes and techniques.
• Assist in the development and implementation of roasting profiles.
• Ensure consistency in coffee quality through careful monitoring of roasting processes.
Product Selection:
• Curate and select food and coffee products to maximize profits.
• Evaluate and introduce new products that align with Asylum Coffeehouse’s brand and customer preferences.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in the hospitality or coffee industry.
• At least 2 years of management experience.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and well-being.
• Passion for coffee and a deep understanding of coffee preparation and roasting techniques.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative mindset with a knack for driving sales and community engagement.
