  Your role:
 
 We’re looking for an [Inside Sales Associate], within the [Maritime & Trade] Division to: 
 
 
 
 
  Conducts telephone conversations to identify and qualify prospective customers and records sales prospecting activity in CRM system. 
 
 
 
 
 
  Develop a strong understanding of the sales value proposition for the Maritime & Trade data solutions and how they fit into the business requirements of your clients. 
 
 
 
 
 
  Develop relationships with your customers to ensure long term partnerships. Maintain existing client base with growth as well as generating new business/customer 
 
 
 
 
 
  Making outbound calls/activities for prospecting. 
 
 
 
 
 
  Prepare and submit accurate weekly/monthly/quarterly sales reporting and forecasting 
 
 
 
 
 
  Achieve specific monthly, quarterly and annual sales quota.

  You will be working in the Inside Sales, Maritime & Trade Team in Penang, Malaysia. Our expanding Global Inside Sales team requires a highly motivated Account Executive in Penang. The successful applicant will be responsible for renewing and up selling our Maritime and Trade portfolio into accounts essentially across APAC. This role positions the individual for outstanding career growth within IHS Markit. 
 
 
 
  The objective of the role is to successfully manage an existing book of subscription business through regular contact and excellent customer service. To grow the existing revenue through exploring new opportunities within an 
 
 
 
  organization. Option to pursue new logo opportunities through marketing 
 
 
 
  and self-generating activity.
