Job Summary:
The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure smooth manufacturing operations, on\-time delivery, and optimal utilization of resources. This role acts as a key link between production, procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to align material availability, capacity planning, and customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders and production capacity.
· Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse and logistics to ensure raw material and component availability.
· Monitor work\-in\-progress and adjust schedules proactively to meet changing priorities or unexpected delays.
· Communicate production plans and updates to relevant departments (sales, quality, production team, site and delivery team, etc)
· Liaise with process engineer to optimize production efficiency by minimizing downtime, setup time and material shortages.
· Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, variances and opportunities for improvement as per Companyâs Way.
· Support inventory management by balancing production output with demand and stock levels
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy.
· Prepare regular reports on production performance, forecast accuracy and capacity utilization.
· Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Diploma/Degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, manufacturing or related field.
· Minimum 2\-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling or manufacturing coordination.
· Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with attention to details.
· Proficiency in ERP/MRP system (preferably SAP).
· Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast\-paced environment.
· Strong Microsoft excel and data analysis capabilities.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
· Experience in lean manufacturing or process optimization
· Knowledge of ISO9001 on QMS.
· Familiarity with capacity planning and material requirement planning (MRP)
· Generate relevant documents & report for process improvement activities
· Provide trainings to the team for process improvement activities
Working hours:
Mon \- Fri 8.30am \- 6pm
