Warehouse Specialist (Bintulu)

ROLE PURPOSE:




 To effectively manage warehouse, materials, inventory, logistics, customs in compliance with MP, PETRONAS and Government procedures and regulations.
 The role includes development and maintenance of material master, setup and maintenance of inventory system, obtain all related permits for importation and/or re-exportation as required, and provide full support for the MP Inventory Management System (IMS)’s implementation.
 To setup and execute efficient inventory management, packing activities, chemical storage operations, and pre-loading preparation of materials.
 Particular experience is needed on supply base operations with understanding of production operations material requirement.
 Strong acumen in HSSE, technical, operational, and commercial aspects of warehouse and inventory management execution.






KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:




Description




HSSE Compliance and Commitment
 Responsible for safe supply base operations, work in safe and environmentally manners and ensure service provider maintain standards of safety and housekeeping at the facilities, including, but not limited to, maintenance of handling equipment, compliance to procedures, as well as removal of scrap, waste and surplus materials at the direction of Company.
 Demonstrate HSSE commitment in any activities starting from an initial plan until the completions, becoming role model, and actively participate in any Company HSSE initiatives to satisfy the Company HSSE KPI/target.
 Ensure equipment is in a safe and good conditions, all equipment defect and accidents/incidents / environmental issues are reported in a timely manner to immediate supervisor.



Material Management and Inventory Control
 Assist supply base team in execution of MP Inventory Management System (IMS) for all materials handling operations, inventory management, supervision of full inventory and asset valuation for Company owned / rented materials/assets. This includes:
o Utilize cataloguing (coding), tagging with clear item description on material transfer, material issue, replenishment, write-off and disposal of materials.
o Responsible on the materials / equipment tracking (purchased, consignment or rental); eg. Spares and consumables for offshore platform operations.
o Responsible for chemical storage upkeep, which includes temporary schedule waste storage as and when required.
 Effectively communicate with Operations function with respect to inventory availability to ensure scheduled operations work is executed timely by providing the summary report on materials required.
 Provide inventory report for statistical and content analysis.







Warehouse Management
 Monitor the services and performance of MP nominated warehousing providers (s) at the Supply Base (s).
 Receive and store materials/equipment in an effective, efficient, timely manner and secured condition utilising the most appropriate material handling and storage method/equipment.
 Handle storage of hazardous chemical with MSDS and signage as per HSSE policy.
 Identify, coordinate, and execute warehouse maintenance, recommend improved methods and equipment.




Partnerships & Relationship Management
 Co-ordinate and manage the service providers’ personnel (s) and relevant statutory bodies at site.






Knowledge:
Minimum Diploma in any Technical / Engineering / Business / related field. Qualifications from relevant chartered institutes is an advantage.
Sound knowledge of PETRONAS Material Governance/Inventory Management of PTCAM & PPGUA.
Intermediate / Advance ERP system user, Oracle knowledge is preferred.
Maintain high standards of ethics, fairness in procurement activities, seek to uphold and enhance the integrity of the procurement process as well as maintain strict confidentiality of documents pertaining to procurement.




Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in oil & gas industry; in coordinating and managing a warehouse including chemical storage and handling of schedule waste at a Supply Base.




Skills:
Strong acumen to safety, operation management, materials management, effective communication skills, strong personal drive, strong leadership and team building skills.

Familiar with Bintulu port / base operations is a plus.
