Position Type Management

The Reservations Manager is primarily responsible for the coaching, development, employee relations and corrective actions of their team. In this role, the Manager will work to drive the key skills and traits necessary to perform Customer Engagement Center(CEC) service functions at expected levels and will provide coaching and guidance to associates on a regular basis. Key to the effort will be overall team performance measured against CEC key performance indicators. The Manager will be expected to work with his/her team to continually improve performance through personal interaction, skill enhancement, training and other techniques.

Assist operations in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to the General Manager and Human Resources. Ensure personal appearance is neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of facility information. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using proper etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other support teams to achieve common goals; Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards. Input and locate work related information using computer equipment. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Management, Operations and/or Human Resources. 

Safety and security 

  • Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Report work related accidents or other injuries immediately after they occur to the manager/supervisor.
  • Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment and machines.
  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and safety personnel.
  • Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
  • Follow property-specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters, first aid, etc.).

  • Follow company and department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure personal appearance is clean, hygienic, professional and complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Protect the privacy and safety of guests and co-workers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of materials and proprietary information.
  • Protect company tools, equipment, machines or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by their managers.
Communication
  • Talk and listen to other employees to effectively exchange information.
  • Provide assistance to co-workers, making sure they understand their tasks.
  • Answer phones with a smile in your voice, using the caller's name, transferring calls to the appropriate person/department, asking permission before placing the caller on hold, taking and relaying messages, and allowing the caller to end the call.
  • Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.

Working with Others

  • Ensure that employees are trained in the company's core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects of the job.
  • Serve as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional work tasks.
  • Assign and ensure that work tasks are completed on time and meet appropriate quality standards.
  • Coach and develop employees (e.g., create expectations for continuous improvement, provide challenging tasks and assignments, hold development discussions, and build and execute development plans).
  • Encourage and motivate employees to perform at their best, take responsibility for tasks and assignments, make decisions, and provide feedback on possible improvements.
  • Counsel employees on work-related concerns and problems to ensure satisfaction and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.

Physical Tasks

  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Move, lift, carry, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 4.5 kilograms without assistance.
  • Leadership and Management Team
  • Provides guidance and creates documentation related to performance metrics and guest interactions.
  • Focuses on associate growth and development and builds a high performance culture.
  • Fosters a strong sense of team and community.
  • Prepare associate documentation as needed per progressive discipline policy.
  • Perform special projects and tasks as requested by Center Leadership. 
  • Possesses strong negotiation and sales orientation skills and shares learnings with the team.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in all CEC systems and can train team on usage as needed.
  • Discusses associate readiness for the next level with the management team.
  • Arranges meetings with associates to share new information or update the team.
  • Escalates risks, issues and concerns to management team.
  • Collects, analyzes and extrapolates operational data to guide individual and team improvement.
  • Understands, tracks and communicates each of the key CEC processes and metrics to each associate individually and as a team. Shares results and manages individuals on the team so that all metrics are understood.
  • Drives employee retention through effective relationship building.

Oversee the center

  • Ensures compliance with established procedure policies.
  • Assists with the daily operations of the Center. 
  • Works closely with other managers to lead the center and perform key tasks.
  • Assists with onboarding new hires as needed.
  • Reports key trends and observations from coaching sessions and data analysis to Center Leaders.
  • Looks for ways to optimize current procedures and procedures and processes to enable continuous improvement.
