The role is responsible for the execution of the Merchant Sales and Acquiring business plan for Mexico in coordination with the LAC regional team and Global groups.

The Visa Business Development Leader will manage the largest Cobrand Card portfolios in the market looking to expand the commercial relationship to its full potential making sure Net Promoter Scores are continually improved and clients are always informed about the new payment trends and Visa products.

The Senior Manager will:

Partner with Key Merchants to grow and develop existing Cobrand Card portfolios.

Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships

Work with the Marketing, Consulting, Innovation, Product, Client Services and Technical Staff to meet customer needs

Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs

The Business Development Leader will build and identify opportunities, negotiate and close business within the managed account portfolio, in order to build solutions based on electronic payments (credit, debit, prepaid, acquiring, e-commerce and Cybersource) maximizing the company’s revenue.

It is the Senior Manager responsibility to work with internal teams: Marketing, Consulting, Innovation, Product, Client Services, Finance and other groups to increase the sales opportunities and thereby maximize the revenue for the organization.

Identify, develop and manage key e-commerce and merchant accounts.

Manage relationship programs.

Add value to strategic merchant segments, acquirers and issuers through the development and implementation of initiatives that increase acceptance and use of Visa Value Added Services.

Responsible for measuring and monitoring the results of those activities.

Develop alliances with key merchants and other stakeholders to achieve brand preference including initiatives related to product, marketing and technology.

Ensure coordination with internal teams for the execution of the card acquiring and retention strategies.

Add value to Issuers and Merchants through consulting support among other services.

Manage assigned budget to ensure that due process is followed and that initiatives are delivered on time and within agreed plan.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

• Bachelor's Degree required/Graduate Degree preferred (MBA Plus).
• 5+ years of B2B enterprise software or technology sales experience selling to large companies through direct and indirect channels.
• Great commercial and people skills in order to build long standing trustworthy relationships with external clients at senior level of the Merchant’s organization.
• Excellent communications and presentation skills, written and verbal and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations.
• Experience on e-commerce, payment operations and/ or electronic payments, merchants.
• Knowledge on products & services related to the electronic payments, issuer or acquiring business systems and processes.
• Marketing and digital marketing knowledge
• Ability to work independently and engage multiple levels of management in key decisions where required for the business.
• Ability to identify key strategic issues and to generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities.
• Ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships.
• Extensive knowledge of Excel, Power Point, and Financial Systems.
• Bilingual English and Spanish (proficient verbal and written).
