Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Manufacturing Production Line Engineer to join our clients team. This hands-on role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing production line machinery to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of production line machinery to minimize downtime.
- Implement and monitor preventative maintenance schedules.
- Repairs and Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on production lines to ensure minimal disruption.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and apply appropriate technical solutions.
- Installation and Upgrades
- Install new production lines or individual components as required.
- Upgrade existing equipment to improve efficiency and production capacity.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all machinery complies with health and safety standards.
- Follow established procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with production teams to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
- Document maintenance activities and provide regular updates to supervisors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.
- Hands-on experience with maintaining and repairing manufacturing machinery.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours when required.
- English Speaker:
- Candidates must be fluent in English
