We’re on the lookout for a Math Teacher to join our awesome team and bring some creative flair to our classrooms! If you have a knack for making mathematics fun and relatable, you may be just the person we need.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include:

• Developing and Implementing Lesson Plans: You’ll get to design engaging lesson plans based on the Cambridge Lower Secondary Math curriculum. Think of creative ways to present mathematical concepts and help students see the world through a critical thinking lens!
• Teaching: Deliver lessons in a way that captures students' attention and motivates them to participate; think interactive classes that include hands-on activities and discussions!
• Encouraging Critical Thinking: Foster an environment where students aren’t just memorizing formulas but really understanding the “why” behind math. Encourage them to ask questions, explore possibilities, and develop a love for the subject!
• Support & Guidance: Be a mentor and guide for our students, helping them navigate the wonderful world of mathematics and tackle any challenges they face head-on!
• Collaboration: Work alongside fellow educators to share best practices, support one another, and create a cohesive learning experience for our students.

What You’ll Need:

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience either in Middle School (MS) or High School (HS). We want you to hit the ground running!
• Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with the Cambridge Lower Secondary Math curriculum is a big plus! If you’ve worked on this before, let us know!
• Educational Background: A degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or a related field would be a fantastic starting point.
• Passion for Teaching: You love to inspire young minds and are eager to share your knowledge of mathematics in a fun, engaging way!
• Critical Thinking Advocate: You believe in the power of critical thinking and know how to get students to think deeply about the concepts they’re learning.

Develop and Implement Lesson Plans: Design engaging lesson plans based on the Cambridge Lower Secondary Mathematics Curriculum Framework, ensuring alignment with school objectives and student needs.

Promote Active Learning: Create a classroom environment that encourages students to actively participate, think critically, and solve problems using mathematical concepts.

Differentiate Instruction: Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate students with varying levels of understanding and learning needs, ensuring all students can progress effectively.

Assess and Monitor Student Progress: Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student understanding, track progress, and provide constructive feedback to guide their learning journey.

Foster a Positive and Inclusive Classroom Environment: Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive classroom where all students feel comfortable to share their ideas, ask questions, and take risks in their learning.

Encourage Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Guide students in developing their mathematical reasoning and analytical skills, using strategies like "Thinking and Working Mathematically" to deepen their understanding.

Collaborate with Colleagues: Work with fellow teachers to align curriculum goals, share best practices, and plan cross-curricular projects that enrich student learning.

Engage with Parents and Guardians: Maintain open communication with parents about their child’s progress, share insights on how they can support learning at home, and provide updates on student achievements.

Integrate Technology in Learning: Use digital tools and resources to enhance mathematical learning and provide students with opportunities to apply their skills using technology.

Participate in Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices and developments in mathematics education through workshops, training, and self-directed learning.
