While a completed TEFL certification is essential for your application, if you don't have one yet, there's no need to worry. We provide an in-house, globally recognized 120-hour TEFL course, which is essential for building a successful career as an online English teacher. POSITION DETAILS

Start Date:

• Immediate upon completion of the recruitment process.

Teaching Hours:

• Guaranteed approximately 30 hours per week!

Students:  

• Adult professionals over the age of 18.
• Students are based throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America.

Remuneration:

• Set base rate of 10 USD per hour.

Contract type:

• You will be contracted by The Really Great Teacher Company as an Independent Service Provider.

Location:

• Work from the convenience of your home.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver English lessons and guidance to students.
• Create a fun and engaging classroom environment by facilitating one-on-one or group instruction & utilizing world-class teaching methods.
• Lead discussions, assess student performance, and provide constructive feedback.

Applicants must have:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher (Any field)
• Completed, accredited 120-hour or above TEFL, TESOL, CELTA
• 6 months' teaching or tutoring experience
• English first language speakers from USA/Canada/UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand
• Must be based in Central America, South America, or South-East Asia (Mexico/Brazil/Cambodia/Thailand/Vietnam/Bali etc.)
• Computer literate
• Clear criminal record
• Engaging and inspiring communication skills
• Punctual and precise timekeeping
• Available to fit into allocated teaching shift slots

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

PC specifications: 

• Processor: Intel ® Core™ i5 CPU @2.0GHz (8 CPUs) or greater. 
• Memory: 8GB RAM or greater. 

Backup power:  

• Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of up to 4-5 hours (2000VA) (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching). This is applicable and a non-negotiable requirement for candidates based in a country where regular power interruptions occur.

A stable fibre internet connection:

• At a minimum of 20 Mbps upload and download speeds. 
• PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection.  

Noise-cancelling headsets and HD web camera:

• Backup headset is highly recommended. 

Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment.
