Zipdev is looking for a QA Analyst. Tickets are moved through our development teams to QA where they’re manually tested, test cases created and evaluated for the automation by the QA Automation team. QA Analysts will be present throughout the process from advising on possible acceptance criteria for user stories to coming up with and writing test cases in our Test Management software for new features.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Testing and Validation:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing software features.
- Perform manual and automated testing to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
2. Bug Identification and Reporting:
- Identify, document, and track defects in a clear and concise manner using bug-tracking tools.
- Work with the development team to reproduce and resolve issues.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
4. Quality Assurance Processes:
- Contribute to the development and improvement of QA processes and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and maintain thorough documentation of testing activities.
5. Regression and Performance Testing:
- Conduct regression testing on resolved defects and ensure no new issues are introduced.
- Assist with performance and load testing to ensure the software performs well under various conditions.
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related role.
- Familiarity with testing web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, scripting languages, or test automation tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
