ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Be in-charge of the followings for the undergraduate program:
a. Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve the overall academic quality of lecturers, according to the required standards set out internally and through external accreditation bodies
i. Teach and assess according to the given curriculum, assessment guidelines
ii. Submit results and records according to required timeline
b. Manage the overall academic system
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Be in-charge of the followings for the undergraduate program:
a. Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve the overall academic quality of lecturers, according to the required standards set out internally and through external accreditation bodies
i. Teach and assess according to the given curriculum, assessment guidelines
ii. Submit results and records according to required timeline
b. Manage the overall academic system according to the required timeline and standards:
i. academic meetings with lecturers – pre, during and post terms, one-on-one with those who receive negative feedback from students or are new
ii. course timetable, student complaints/ feedback, student survey, student mentoring
iii. result moderation, finalizing with lecturers, supervising release of results and appeals
iv. coordinating with the Program Manager on academic term operation, deferment, withdrawal, reunit
v. ensuring academic records are kept according to the guidelines – curriculum materials, assessment questions, student submissions, grades by lecturers, academic meeting minutes
vi. scheduling, resource planning, budget planning:
• schedule for one academic year, sourcing & hiring of lecturers, quarterly and monthly budget for the program
vii. management of articulation or accreditation process for partnered university or accreditation bodies by providing all necessary academic documentations
viii. Monitor, evaluate and improve processes, procedures for the Academic team
2. Develop, review and improve the curriculum on a regular basic to ensure the quality and relevance to the required standards and to obtain the highest student engagement
• Curriculum plan, course outline, lesson plan, assessment materials (questions, marking scheme), reference and supplementary materials/ books
3. Build a thriving industrial network by regularly inviting guest speakers, developing industrial projects for students, arranging for internships, etc.
4. Participate in public events or school events where the information regarding academic matters need to be explained to the public, potential or current students/ parents
5. Teach one subject for a maximum of 6 hours per week
