2. Manage the Academic Support Department and carry out academic related procedures and policies in a timely manner for admission, pre-term, during-term and post-term activities which may include:
• Coordination, arrangement and maintenance of school calendar, academic meetings, course evaluations, student attendance, academic result appeal, deferment, withdrawal, re-unit, enrollment verifications, certification, transcript and qualifications evaluation
• Issue of course materials to students such as timetable/ text books/ course materials/ assessment materials via Learning Management System or hard copy
3. Ensure that an efficient system is set up for record keeping and stored according to the guidelines:
• Student applications, admission records, students’ assessment answers, assessment questions, marking schemes, students’ results, transcripts, withdrawal, deferment, course evaluations
4. Manage and coordinate with university partners for registration, auditing, articulation and awarding of qualifications
5. Manage the data in the student administration system and online learning management system
6. Be in-charge of either communicating to or responding to inquiries from students, parents, lecturers and university partners regarding academic or registry related matters
7. Participate in public events or school events where the information regarding academic matters need to be explained to the public, potential or current students/ parents
8. Monitor, evaluate and improve processes, procedures for Academic Support Department
GENERAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE
• Coordinate with all departments whenever regarding information on students’ records, academic policies and procedures, academic related inquiries
• Participate in other activities and promotional efforts when requested
• To expand one’s general knowledge about the world and the field of education
• To participate in the yearly performance appraisal scheme
YOU WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
At least a Master Degree
Excellent English proficiency, especially in public speaking and writing
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a private higher education institute; out of which as a manager for at least 2 years
Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written) and articulate well
Ability to adapt and respond to urgent needs or changes, work under pressure
Ability to build and manage relationships with peers, students, parents and the management
Being flexible to undertake and learn new tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, Internet and educational software as needed
Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested
