Step-changing consumer and customer activation through data-driven precision marketing has been identified as key to fuel growth at Diageo. To do so, a company-wide and lasting transformation is being ignited, encompassing new synchronized omni-channel and data-driven approaches. This transformation involves consumer and customer activation strategy, activity design and execution, tracking and optimization, performance measurement and understanding, building new ways of working.
Your role
An outstanding opportunity for anyone with a real passion and flair for data-driven media strategy and implementation. This role is about understanding our business challenges and have a consumer focus to get the best media strategy and planning in for our markets. You will lead all aspects of both online and offline media for some of our brands, while also connecting all these with a full-funnel approach with other areas and channels of the business (E-commerce, Commercial, Customer Marketing, etc.).
You will be part of a team leading Diageo’s annual connections planning process in Northern Europe in close collaboration with key internal partners and external agency partners. We strive to build extraordinary media plans, across all touchpoints and channels, that consistently deliver category and brand growth.

Act as a multifaceted media expert who takes care of delivering world class data-driven media strategies and plans for our brands
Influence and build capability in order to drive effective media strategy that delivers category and brand growth
Ensure all media plans for our brands across the portfolio uphold our global media standards
Ensure appropriate use of data and insight to predict trends and campaign impact
Drive a performance marketing approach and culture when it comes to media optimisation with a consistent record in this. You will identify new opportunities to improve our digital program's efficiency and run test & learn programs
Media leadership: ability to influence media decisions at all levels internally and externally with maturity to maximise impact
Understand the recruitment/re-recruitment – both from a shopper and consumer perspective
Ability to see, find and trigger associated memories in a buying context, all resulting in success at the point of purchase
Identify the emerging technology trends, to spot new ways to connect to consumers (in particular within the digital and mobile space)
Be a passionate media expert with great knowledge on the media landscape, data, measurement, and conversion
You are constantly curious about consumers, with a deep understanding of consumer behaviour across all media channels
A strong teammate who enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
7+ years of experience in full funnel media strategy, planning and budget setting in an e-comm business is essential
Confident tech savvy across all digital channels and platforms (social, display, video, PPC, etc) understanding the roles each plays within the consumer journey
Experience with implementation of strategic beneficial programs with our Media Partners such as Google, Meta, and Amazon
Demonstrated brilliant execution to impeccably high standards, with personal accountability for great performance
Positive energy, willingness to develop further, pro-active, entrepreneurial way of thinking, good analytical skills
Preferred experience when you have worked in Media at an e-comm giant is a plus
