Job Description - Business Development Manager
As the Food Service Business Development Manager Europe, you will play a critical role in leading and driving the profitable growth and success of the food service business. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the F&B Solutions Business Head Europe and be deeply involved in identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and creating comprehensive strategies to expand the company’s market presence within the food service industry. You will lead and drive the growth of the food service business across various food service channels through distributors including bakery, hotel, restaurant, catering, hospitality …. This role focuses on promoting and selling a diverse portfolio of food service solutions, executing go-to-market strategies to meet regional revenue targets, expanding market share, and delivering exceptional service to clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and execute the food service channel go-to-market strategy.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food service industry
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors while collaborating with regional sales teams to target and onboard new clients.
• Work closely with marketing teams, chef associations, and distributors to create campaigns and promotional strategies to attract new business.
• Work cross-functionally with head of sweet and savoury categories product development, supply chain, and operations teams to fine-tune solutions portfolios, price lists, and ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Organize trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to represent the company and promote its services.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovations that could affect the business.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven experience as a Food Ingredients Horeca Business Developer.
• Over 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the food service, hospitality, or related industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Results-driven with a strong track record of achieving targets.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Open to travel: Travel 15-25% of your time to travel to clients post development phase
