What will you do:
As an R&D Application Specialist at Eleo, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting our suite of R&D applications, including the 3DExperience platform, SolidWorks, Altium, and future Requirements Management tools. Your role extends beyond operational support to include an active contribution to defining and optimizing R&D processes and procedures, ensuring efficient application, data, and workflow integration.
You will be directly involved in the implementation and configuration of process improvements, the deployment of new functionalities, and the integration of new tools. Additionally, you will provide training to key users and end users, ensuring they effectively utilize these tools in accordance with established processes and best practices.
Your key responsibilities:
- Translating process improvements into tool implementations and rollouts.
- Managing users and licenses, ensuring proper access, authorization, and license allocation.
- Providing tool support and handling issues according to the issue management process (ITIL); following up with vendors and/or service providers when necessary.
- Ensuring continuity, stability, and scalability of these systems, as these are critical for Eleo's success.
- Investigating new functionalities and tools to improve process execution and methodologies, and implementing these changes in accordance with the change management process (ITIL).
- Documenting system configurations and methodologies.
- Actively participating in the PLM and CAD key user groups.
Requirements & qualifications:
Organizational Skills and Work Style
- Well-organized and structured
- Proactive, autonomous, and capable of self-management
- Supportive attitude and strong teamwork abilities
Process and Industry Knowledge
- Process-oriented approach with knowledge of R&D processes
- Strong background in or deep understanding of engineering processes and activities (highly preferred)
- Familiarity with PLM and configuration management processes and standards (preferred)
- Experience with IT service, issue, and change management processes (e.g., ITIL) (strong plus)
Technical Expertise
- Knowledge of tools and architectures within the scope of PLM and CAD (strong plus)
- Experience with CAD authoring tools is required; SolidWorks experience is particularly advantageous
- Experience with PLM applications or related systems like ERP, specifically 3DExperience, is highly desirable
