Flight Itinerary (About The Role)
We are looking for a thought leader to drive the roadmap of FLYR’s Legacy Translator that is our conversion and translation module between our Offer & Order platform and legacy distribution and reservation systems.
As a Technical Product Owner, you would work with FLYR leadership, product managers, individual product owners and airline experts to define the scope and capabilities of the Legacy Translator. The aim is to support airlines in the transition from legacy distribution and PSS systems to Offer & Order while ensuring that collaboration with partners remaining in the legacy world is still possible. You will work with your dedicated engineering team to bring these new capabilities to life.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)
- Work with our offer & order teams to align on supported legacy flows
- Work with our airline customers and their legacy partners on how to best implement the various booking and servicing scenarios
- Integrate with the legacy solutions as well as the other OOMS modules
- Define product specifications and detailed use cases
- Develop and execute a product roadmap to deliver continuous upgrades and value
- Continuously refine and maintain the product backlog with cross-functional product teams, ensuring all items are well-defined, estimated, and prioritized
- Facilitate regular product demos, highlighting critical features to stakeholders to showcase progress and gather feedback
What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)
- 3+ years of experience building and/or managing API-first products
- Hands-on experience with legacy distribution (including ticketing), either as a consumer or supplier
- Hands-on experience with PSS systems, either as a consumer or supplier
- Knowledge of New Distribution Capability (NDC) and ONE Order standards
- Good knowledge of EDIFACT and XML is required
- Experience with product lifecycle methodologies from idea to launch
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional decision-making skills
- Ability to provide clear direction and effective communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies is a plus
- Experience working with software development tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Expertise in cross-product collaboration and managing inter-team dependencies
