We’re searching for a Sensory Panel Assistant to build their career here at MMR.

We are looking for a Sensory Panel Assistant to join MMR’s passionate and vibrant team and work at one of our client’s R&D Center in Utrecht.

About our Role

The Panel Assistant reports to the Sensory Manager, assisting them to ensure that sensory projects run smoothly by managing all activities related to the sensory panel sessions, overseeing sensory laboratory operations and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain sensory kitchen/laboratory functionality by checking stock of supplied/products, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
  • Receive, store and prepare samples for all sensory panel sessions.
  • Research, source and prepare samples for all sensory panel sessions.
  • Program the sensory software (EyeQuestion) for sensory project data collection.
  • Follow, apply and documents appropriate research protocols.
  • Ensure that the sensory panel working areas and equipment are prepared appropriately for each session and cleaned after.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene standards.
  • Maintain and develop kitchen/laboratory Standard Operation Procedures.
  • Assist the Sensory Manager in administrative duties (timesheets, scheduling, updating databases, coordinating with panelists).
  • Give basic sensory panel training and run evaluation sessions.
  • Coordinate screening sessions for candidate recruitment.
  • Promote a positive working environment at all times.
  • A degree in Food Science/Sensory Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in English and Dutch languages.
  • Strong organisational skills and great attention to detail.
