Finance Controller

Please note that this is a part-time position for about 30 hrs per week.

A Financial Controller you will oversee accounting activities and ensure that ledgers accurately reflect the cash flow and expenses.

Responsibilities

• Compile the subsidiary financial records and prepare the consolidated accounts (Balance sheet, Income statement, Cashflow) of all subsidiaries (Belgium, France, USA, Germany, Spain) under the local GAAP;

• Oversee the subsidiaries' accounts payable process, including vendor management, invoice processing, and payments;

• Prepare and submit VAT and CIT returns for our foreign subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations;

• Assist in the audits conducted by external auditors;

• Ensure that our foreign subsidiaries adhere to audit requirements and recommendations;

• Prepare and analyze financial statements for our foreign subsidiaries, providing insights into their financial performance and position;

• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance department;

• Implement new systems or procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 

• 3-5  years of overall combined accounting and finance experience;

• Degree in Accounting;

• Working knowledge of GAAP principles;

• Experience with creating financial statements;

• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process;

• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills;

• Excellent communication skills in English.
