Team Lead Document Control - Global Engineering

In your job you will work for the offshore energy division. Boskalis has one of the largest global fleets of specialized offshore vessels, allowing us to carry out a broad range of offshore activities. We provide innovative and sustainable all-round solutions to tackle major worldwide maritime challenges. Our Offshore Energy division supports sustainable energy solutions such as wind energy as well as traditional fossil facilities. We’re involved in the entire journey from developing and transporting to maintaining and decommissioning these facilities. 

Make your mark as Team Lead Document Control. In this role you will be the connecting driver between the project and tender teams, and the document control team. Your experience and knowledge will help the team to perform their key role in the organization and create a basis for growth and development. Join our team with a presence in both Papendrecht and Abu Dhabi! Your role will be to maintain a strong connection between the teams at these locations, fostering collaboration and teamwork. You will support the team and organization in maintaining the document control related procedures in alignment with company, client guidelines, and industry standards.  You are highly driven to provide guidance and coaching to the team, supporting their personal and professional development, including performance management and yearly appraisals. 

What does the team do:  

• Supporting the project teams with a Document Management System – Providing a platform to perform and support the full Document Management process. 
• The team pro-actively supports the project teams with quality assurance on all document management related topics. 
• This team takes the lead in supporting the full document lifecycle process expediting and supporting all the involved project members and stakeholders. 
• Informing the project organizations on the status of all the project documentation and their workflows.  

Development:  

As part of our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence, we are looking into a new platform for our Document Management System to future-proof our operations and enhance the quality of our document lifecycle. As team lead you will support the development and support the document control team to make this step forward to a success  

You can make your mark as a document control team lead when you have:  

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience, including several years' experience as a lead in a project organization;
• Familiarity with Office 365 applications such as SharePoint, Power-BI, etc;
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English; 
• It is a preference if you have profound knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems and other related systems.

Extra information   

• Your team: You will manage a team of +- 12 colleagues. You will report to the Manager of Project and Tender support and are part of the core leads team together with the lead for Risks and Planning. 
• Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office. Occasionally, you will visit our colleagues in Abu Dhabi. 
• Full/part-time job: The position of Lead Document Controller is a full-time (40 hours a week) job.
