Backend (Fullstack) Developer with Co-Founder ambition

We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Developer to help us grow Qpaws into a world-leading tool for dog owners. Already launched and rapidly growing, Qpaws is at the forefront of dog activity tracking and management. If you’re excited by the idea of joining a small founding team and playing a pivotal role in developing and scaling this product internationally, we want to hear from you.

WHO WE ARE:

Qpaws is quickly becoming a leading software-first social activity platform for dog owners—often referred to as the "Strava for dogs." With over 32,000 dogs registered, we’re continuously refining our product to provide the best solution for tracking and managing dogs’ activities, health, and care. Our goal is to make Qpaws the go-to app for active dog owners worldwide, and we are preparing for international mass adoption.

Our tech stack is built on a scalable, secure architecture, running on AWS Cloud with Node.js on the backend and React Native for the mobile app.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are an experienced developer with a strong foundation in backend systems (Node.js preferred), ideally with experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments such as startups.

• Experience with AWS (EC2, Elastic Load Balancing), MongoDB, and React Native is a plus, but your ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies is more important.
• You thrive in deep technical work but are also comfortable collaborating with others. While hands-on development will be your primary focus, there will be significant opportunities to lead and build a tech team as we grow—flexibility to match your strengths.
• Your passion for dogs is optional—your passion for building world-class software is what truly matters.
