Summary

In this role, you will leverage your understanding of IK-Subsea's products and services to engage with customers, discuss their challenges, and offer effective, practical solutions. As a natural communicator and people-oriented individual, you will excel at building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and driving sales success. Responsibilities

The position reports to the Director of Sales, IK -- Subsea.

Sales Strategy and Global Achievement

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase the company's oil and gas subsea IMR market share.


  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by driving sales processes from initial contact to contract completion.

Customer Relationship Management


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, acting as the company's representative.


  • Understand customer needs, challenges, and business goals to provide tailored solutions.

Technical Consulting and Problem-Solving


  • Provide technical support to customers by understanding their challenges and suggesting relevant solutions based on the company's products and services.


  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineers, product development, project management) to ensure that solutions are feasible and meet customer requirements.

Negotiations and Contract Management


  • Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and terms to secure profitable agreements while addressing customer needs.


  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met and follow up on deliveries according to agreements.

Market Analysis and Development


  • Stay updated on market developments, competitors, and oil and gas industry trends to identify new business opportunities.


  • Contribute to product development by providing customer feedback on needs and improvement opportunities.

Internal Collaboration


  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer technical requirements are met and deliveries are on time.


  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving sales, product development, and technical support.

Travel Activities

  • Conduct regular visits to customers and participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company and its solutions.

Tasks


  • Plan and execute sales activities to generate new leads and expand the customer portfolio.

  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to customers, tailoring the message to specific needs.


  • Create and update sales reports, forecasts, and budget targets.


  • Provide technical sales support throughout the sales process, including post-sale follow-up.

  • Prepare proposals and requests for pricing (RFP) and follow up on contracts and commercial agreements.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or a related technical field (e.g., mechanical engineering, structural petroleum technology).

Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in technical sales, key account management, or business development within the oil and gas industry.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of technical products and solutions, with the ability to explain technical details simply to customers.


  • Collaborate closely with technical teams to meet customer requirements and relay feedback to internal engineering departments.

Skills


  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to combine technical knowledge with sales strategy.


  • Strategic thinking to develop strategies that meet technical requirements while achieving commercial goals.

Language Skills

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, spoken and written.

Personal Attributes


  • High level of technical curiosity and the ability to quickly learn new products and solutions.

  • Excellent relationship-building skills, particularly with technical customers and engineers.
